Best Brigham Young Bio?

I just finished reading (again..) Bishop George Miller's letters to the "Northern Islander" strangite newspaper. It gives a less than cinematic depiction of BY. Most BY biographies lionize him; is there a bio that is as true life as Miller's depiction?

I wouldn't mind a good recommendation for a work about BY and Heber Kimball's involvement in Masonry.

Don't let critical Mormon-apologist reviews deter you. It's a fine book, proven even more so by the fact that Mormons are complaining about it. (n/t)

I would in turn recommend the Miller letters - Miller was a great man in my opinion but Richards, Young, and Kimball come off like a bunch of feckless cowards. That might be an exaggeration from a historical standpoint so I was looking for some more detail.

Yep- If the Mormons are complaining about it, it's usually true

They never cry foul unless you point out a real fact.

Brigham Young's biography. Pulled out of school at 3, said, Duhhh uhhh uhhh uhhh huhhhhh duhhhhhhhh for the rest of his adult life, and killed a bunch of people.....
