That's the biggest fallacy of mormonism--that they are the one true church and therefore they hold the only keys to heaven, eternal life, God, etc. What a great way to control people's lives.

Not every religion teaches that it is the only true religion. In my opinion, any religion that claims a monopoly on The Truth is lying.

There are as many paths to God, or through life, as there are people.

...an authoritarian world view. To the authoritarian follower, there can be only one source of authority and truth, only one correct answer, only one path, only one goal, etc.

Other Christian churches making that claim include Roman Catholocism, Eastern Orthodox, Jehovah's Witness' and some protestant sects that include some Baptist traditions among others.

Then of course there is Islam.

Just a sign of a cult, that's all. Arrogance is not admired by God. Any church who claims they are "the one" or "the best" is weak in my opinion. They need to say that because they use it as a draw for the weak minded potential converts. All of a sudden the weak potential convert sees all the attention they are getting and now they are being told they are wanted in the ONE true church. WOW! Of course.... these people are needy folks. Now if you were born into it that statement is just part of learning language as a toddler. When you think you are in the ONE true church is it any wonder you do not wish to associate with anyone NOT in it.
