My feeling is that Dominionism is the far bigger and immediate threat. Mormonism is irrelevant - it is only important in the minds of TBMs and nowhere else. Also, U.S. Mormonism is insignificant in size compared to Dominionism, I think.
As for Dominionism, think Joseph Smith in Nauvoo and running for President of the United States.

Dominionism scares the crap out of me, mostly because I have reconstructionist and dominionist protestants in my family and those are some trippy folks. They just totally ignore history and make it up as they go along: "Thomas Jefferson wasn't a deist, he was a CHRISTIAN! All of the Founding Fathers were BIBLE-BELIEVING CHRISTIANS! And they wanted PRAYER IN SCHOOLS! For CHRISTIANS! Because this is a CHRISTIAN COUNTRY, FOUNDED BY CHRISTIANS! WHITE CHRISTIANS!"
The people at Vision Forum give reconstructionist tours of Colonial Williamsburg, if you are interested, where they will tell you all about how this country was built by and for white Christians, and God will smite us all for ignoring our origins.
As far as they are concerned, God is already going to smite me for being Catholic, so I'm not terribly worried. But my grandmother was in the DAR (my family is related distantly to Aaron Burr, of all people) so I kind of take umbrage at James Dobson trying to portray Ben Franklin as a Bible-thumper. Please.
