people keep telling me how it's gone downhill lately as they pander to pre-adolescent boys. Is this true? Maybe I'll take it up if there's a new expansion coming out.
I play it with my husband and a group of RL friends and friends we've made through the game. He's much more into it than I am, but I enjoy playing it, too. Our mains are on Spirestone, horde side. Last week we made some alliance alts on Moon Guard, one of the heavy duty role playing servers, just to have some fun until the expansion comes out. It's been pretty hilarious to see what the role players come up with, especially with all the cataclysm storyline going on right now.
Have you guys seen The Guild? It's a web series of short episodes. I've never played WoW but I've heard people that do love it---and I thought it was hilarious even though i'm sure a lot went over my head. You should check it out! http://www.watchtheguild.com/
My Alliance server is Muradin -- we have an awesome guild, by the way. Small, friendly and fun -- I'm not on right now but I will be in a few weeks again so if you end up there just look for Elwynara.
And my Horde server is Madoran -- I haven't played it for too long though -- don't even remember my main's name. lol!
And the Guild is seriously awesome!!
Have you heard the song the lead actress sings? "Do You Want To Date My Avatar?" It's fantastic too and the music video with it has all the crew from the Guild.
