OK, what I was really going to say is that LD$ inc must be getting some kind of extreme A$$ beating that is heavily registering in their MORmON world in order to show so much supposed sympathy to a group that they really despise and normally systematically vilify on a regular basis.

I am on you tube. I selected a video about Christianity in general, a video clip from Zefferelli's excellent movie Jesus of Nazareth from back in the 1970's. I have been posting clips from that on my FB page to show my family just how much that LD$ inc portrayals of Jesus really suck in comparison. Any way, before the clip that I actually selected can play, I get hit with an ad, and the ad is from LD$ inc. It is over 3 minutes long and it features Ballard speaking about how concerned that LD$ inc supposedly is about the LGBT community.

*yah! RIGHT!* and MORmONISM has really always been the black people's strongest friend and advocate

The ad comes from an excerpt from about the 10 minute to the 14 minute mark of Ballard's address to BYU from last fall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZifeyPjXRI

the typically preachy and very uppity LD$ inc must really be feeling the pain of diminishing revenue to be seen practically groveling in that manner.

The other thing is, LD$ Inc can not tolerate any commentary on you tube on the page for Ballard's talk .....but it is open season HERE !!!!!!!!

Now wait one gosh darn minute here. Elder Bednar said there are no gay people in the church! Now Ballard is conflicting with Bednar?

Ballard basically seems to be saying, "We know you exist and we want you to find your place in the church. Good luck with that."

The sensitivity of these men boggles the mind (sarcasm alert for those who don't recognize it).

I stopped the video when Ballard mentioned the Elders Journal, and how JS had answered 20 questions asked of him about mormonism. I found the original in the joseph smith papers project: http://www.josephsmithpapers.org/paper-summary/elders-journal-july-1838/10

Here is my transcription of that content. Keep in mind that I am but a wise ass flawed human being...

For sure check out question 10! It'll win you many a cup of Postum the next time the issue comes up with TBMs!

On the issue of polygamy, JS had taken Fanny Alger, and it seems that his 1838 'wedding' to Lucinda Morgan Harris had also been consummated. So at this point his was only a teensy weensy lie.

1. Do you believe in the bible?
If we do, we are the only people under heaven that does. For there are non of the religious sects of the day that do.

2. Wherein do you differ from other sects?
Because we believe the bible, and all other sects profess to believe their interpretations of the bible, and their creeds.

3. Will every body be damned but Mormons?
Yes, and a great portion of them, unless they repent and work righteousness.

4. How, and where did you obtain the book of Mormon?
Moroni, the person who deposited the plates, from whence the book of Mormon was translated, in a hill in Manchester, Ontario County of New York, being dead; and raised again therefrom, appeared unto me and told me where they were; and gave me directions how to obtain them. I obtained them, and the Urim and Thummim with them; by the means of which, I translated the plates; and thus came the book of Mormon.

5. Do you believe Joseph Smith Jr. to be a prophet?
Yes, and every other man who has the testimony of Jesus. "For the testimony of Jesus, is the spirit of prophecy." --Rev.19:10

6. Do the Mormons believe in having all things in common?
No.

7. Do the Mormons believe in having more wives than one?
No, not at the same time. But they believe that if their companion dies, they have the right to marry again. But we do disapprove of the custom which has gained in the world, and has been practised among us, to our great mortification, of marrying in five or six weeks, or even in the two or three months after the death of their companion. We believe that due respect ought to be had, to the memory of the dead, and the feelings of both friends and children.

8. Can they raise the dead?
No, nor any other people that now lives or ever did live. But god can raise the dead through man, as an instrument.

9. What signs do Jo Smith give of his divine mission?
The signs with God is pleased to let him give: according as his wisdom thinks best: in order that he may judge the world agreeably to his own path.

10. Was not Jo Smith a money digger?
Yes, but it was never a very profitable job to him, as he only got fourteen dollars a month for it.

11. Did not Jo Smith steal his wife?
Ask her; she was of age, she can answer for herself.

12. Do the people have to give up their money, when they join the church?
No other requirement that to bear their proportion of the expenses of the church, and support the poor.

13. Are the Mormons abolitionists?
No, unless delivering the people from priest-craft, and the priests from the power of satan, should be considered such-- But we do not believe in setting the Negros free.

14. Do they not stir up the Indians to war and to commit depredations?
No, and those who reported the story, knew it was false when they put it into circulation. These and similar reports are pawned upon the people by the priests, and this is the reason why we ever thought of answering them.

15. Do the Mormons baptize in the name of Jo Smith?
No, but if they did, it would be as valid as the baptism administered by the sectarian priests.

16. If the Mormon doctrine is true what has become of all those who have died since the days of the apostles?
All those who have not had an opportunity of hearing the gospel, and being administered to by an inspired man in the flesh, must have it hereafter, before they can be finally judged.

17. Does not Jo Smith profess to be Jesus Christ?
No, but he professes to be his brother, as all other saints have done, and now do.--Matthew, 12: 49,50-- And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples and said, Behold my mother and my brethren: for whosoever shall do the will of my father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

18. Is there any thing in the Bible which lisences you to believe in revelations now a days?
Is ther eany thing that does not authorize us to believe so; if there is, we have, as yet, not been able to find it.

19. Is not the cannon of the Scriptures full?
If it is, there is a great defect in the book, or else it would have said so.

20. What are the fundamental principles of your religion?
The fundamental principles of our religion is the testimony of the apostles and prophets concerning Jesus Christ, "that he died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended up into heaven;" and all other things are only appendages to these, with pertain to our religion. But in connection with there, we believe in the gift of the Holy Ghost, the power of faith, the enjoyment of the spiritual gifts according to the will of God, the restoration of the house of Israel, and the final triumph of truth.

We suffered, it is only fair that they suffer IMO. I have no sympathy for anything they go through. None, zero.

They (leaders) deserve it;
They (attempted to) substitute their own B.S. for Christ-Like living: Honesty, Kindness, Respect for others.

Eat shit & die, Mormon Church.
