Where DID Jospeh Smith get his idea for the Jaradite submarines? Right here!

Did you know the first Submarine was described by Leonardo Da Vinci? And that the first practical submarine was launched by a Dutchman in the River Thames in 1620?

I agree, those bardges seem to be a very close match to the description of the Jaredite barges.

But the OP is also correct in noting that the idea of a submarine was not a novel concept for JS day.
