A guy destroys a TBM on both polygamy and prophets being thrown under the bus when they were "speaking as men", but the TBM spins cheerfully and provides this gem:

"God, knowing what He does, determined that Brigham’s colonizing skills far outweighed his doctrinal teaching skills to the point where God kept Brigham in place. For over a hundred years, owing to Brigham’s skills, the LDS Church was able to control its surroundings; to germinate and grow into the international organization it has become."

So, God chooses a "businessman" with an iron fist who spouts lots of misleading crap that will later be referred to as heresy?

Love it! Very entertaining.

Since it is what exists today, it obviously was all part of ghawd's plan.

Given the chance to work backwards from the current situation, it's usually not hard to show how it was all meant to be.

So which morally despicable but powerful leader is God going to put in charge today to stem the predictable and imminent decline of old Brigham's kingdom? 'Cause I don't think Nelson will do anything too far off from the status quo, which won't be enough. So much for that rolling stone -- I think it's coming to a stop.

It's still rolling. Just in reverse now.

So God chooses a false prophet because he's a ruthless businessman.

That's what Jesus would do.
