The order in which they're nominated is the order in which they will ascend the presidency.

The guy in first place will be a very young (probably late 50's) utah white bread typical and the guy in second place will be a minority, but he will be hundreds of years old and will end up being the coffee boy. Postum boy.

They know that people would see right through it, so I'm predicting 2 more white guys.

My opinion is that ghawd will continue to put off naming a minority because they (minority members) still aren't 'ready'.

And once he appoints one, with the knowledge that there are as many or more minority members as Whites, the minorities might suppose that minorities need to be appointed until there's 50/50 on the quorum. And we know ghawd's a bigot, so it not likely to happen! So by putting off the first minority, he can just go with, "I'm not a bigot-got, you guys just need to up your game!"

They could kill two birds with one stone and just go with Gladys Knight. She wouldn't want to end up Prophet anyway so the risk of an "off-white" prophet wouldn't be an issue.

And the second one could be any one of the other bricks in the Mormon wall. Very interchangeable TBM Mormon men. Very.

Members of the tribal council will stick to the same old shit and name two homogenized white guys with business or legal backgrounds to replace Monson and Hales. As you say, they will call two "Very interchangeable TBM Mormon men."

As an aside, I followed these appointments closely until there were three vacancies a couple of years ago when Packer, Perry and Scott all died around the same time. I had never heard of any of the guys they appointed and I still don't know their names. I think it is a healthy sign that I no longer give a rat's ass.

So just to help out the spy lurking here for the Q15 . . .

The thing to do guys is go ahead and pick the two new old white men to be apostles and then get a token brown one to be a new Quorum of the Seventy. Make a big fuss about it to distract from the Apostle appointments. Go on and on about what a great spiritual warrior he is and that God has chosen him for a special purpose for a new dispensation. Really stress the "dispensation thing." The Mormons love that. Try to find one with a heart condition.

Appoint ... a woman!

If there is a minority on the 12, it will be because they picked an old white dude under 70. No way they go with a radical pick, especially since they probably won't want it to overshadow the coronation of the new Big Cheese.

Too risky. Minorities are not always "church broke", and could bring the whole good ol' white Mormon boy institution crumbling down. The movie, "The Firm", with Tom Cruise, reminds me of the Mormon hierarchy.
