Mom finally passed from this life peacefully this afternoon. She is no longer suffering.

I have many stories about her. But she did not support my decision years ago to join the Morg. I should have listened.

Tonight there was a festival of lights in my town. I know she was watching.

My own dear Mom passed soon after I firstdiscovered RfM back in 03.

I'll always be grateful for the support that was forthcoming from the divers kindred souls who were gathered here.

Don't know if I'd have had the courage to put on a suit and speak at her funeral without above said kindred souls.

Condolences.

Thanks to all of you for your sympathy. You are very kind. I'll be honest, I'm kind of relieved. Her suffering was just too much.

She died in the hospital but she was actually in a nursing home. She was due to come home on the 3rd. I would have had to take care of her and I just don't have the medical or nursing expertise to have provided for her.

She did not support my decision to join the morg because of the old sealing laws back in the 70s, when a woman could only be sealed in the temple to one man. She always wanted to see her grandparents after death. She was closer to them than her own parents.

She would have had to do a proxy sealing for her grandmother only to her first husband, my biological great-grandfather, not to the man she considered her true grandfather, grandmama's second husband.

There was also the issue of no blacks in the priesthood. That bothered her.

The TSCC sure can complicate things.

Someone I would have liked to spend time with. Be sure to take care of yourself too FordE. I am glad that she is no longer in any pain and you can begin the journey towards healing.

My mother passed away 9 years ago on December 3rd. It was time for her to go, too.

Take care of yourself as no matter when they go or why, it is still very difficult.
