Me too, Hie! He had an amazingly beautiful baritone voice.

Just a couple of days ago a young store clerk said to me Shazaaam! I asked him if he knew where that expression came from. He didn’t. I explained Gomer Pyle, USMC.

Seriously, too bad they are both gone, Carter aka Frank Sutton died at age fifty of a heart attack. I loved that show as kid.

I bet Sutton has been dead dunked and Nebors will so be mormon moisturized for the dead.

I loved that show. I have a couple of the DVDs. For some reason, I thought he already died. It was always funny how Gomer always made SGT Carter look good at the end of each episode.
I loved SGT Carter's flat top.
I remember an interview Jim did, where he said that most of the young guys in the opening credits died in Vietnam.
They were all real Marines. It was filmed at a real Marine base.
I liked the episode where they were assigned to train the German Shepherds and Gomer had the meanest one that he turned into a " p.... cat", but when Carter started yelling at Gomer, he started barking at him.

I saw you one day......I was walking down your lil street and you were on your back porch...too far away to say Hi or Aloha.
I did talk to Stan when he was walking your 2 German shepherds.
Beautiful dogs & super nice guy.
You will be missed......especially in Hawaii

When I first moved to Hawaii, Mr Nabors was doing a show every night

in Honolulu and taking the last flight out to Maui every night. Anyone that knew of him like airline personnel always said he was a very nice man. Thanks for the entertainment. R.I.P.

He'll be missed. I grew up watching reruns of "Gomer Pyle, USMC". At least Hollywood hasn't turned it a big screen movie yet!?? I wonder how today's Hollywood would wreck it!??
