This virtue always brings solutions to life problems that seems to be a little bit to late to be to any kind of use in our lives. The sens morale is: Be quiet and listen to your "leaders". You are wrong and you do not see, hear or think right.

In the world of ritualized self-doubt - the truth as we know it through out natural perception - is not given any credit and it is a "virtue" to downplay natural insight, intelligence or experience.

It is not about relativism it is ju a question about bad attitude and not giving people credit for their nature as normal human beings.

What you wrote reminds me of the book: “The Gift of Fear” by Gavin DeBecker.

He talks about people going along with scary situations—doubting there own fears—where a fox would run away.

Animals don’t second guess themselves.

Many of us exmos knew the truth and “doubted” our inner voices for way too long.

Good point. Who doubts himself more than the abject follower?

Mormons are automatically guilty until proven innocent. I was taught from birth to "feel wrong," doubt myself. Luckily in the end I just wasn't good at it. Underneath it all I kinda liked myself as is--including the natural insight you list.

The good thing with Mormons who stay in however, is, you can buy innocence and fake goodness.
