Just saw a FB post with a smiling, happy Mormon family

All happy and smiling, children too, with a smiling statue of Jesus in front of a temple!

Are temples more family-friendly than they were, back in the day?

They were dreadfully dreary and solemn, the couple of times I ventured in. Certainly no reason to rinse and repeat.

They are in Washington State. Maybe it's different up there.

Nope, they suck up here just like anywhere else, IMHO. They were probably smiling because the FB post was the last "mormon must-do" to waste their time on before they bugged out for ice cream.

The family you describe sounds eerily like the only Mormon friends I still have.

By any chance, are their initials RB and spouse, EB??
