The author of the Book of Jarenek has had the responsibility of finances and day to day running of his church "unhappily" removed from his control. He will remain a sort of " Church Figurehead" and his father will be in charge from now on, dated 1st Nov 2017.
His father quotes his son's ill-health but I would suggest the poor man has been delusional from 2006 when he first thought he saw an angel.

Yes elderolddog and he wrote statues instead of status. His father must have been having a bad day all round.

Yes, but it can't compare to thinking about the current propjet, even Thomas S. Monson. At one time he was a very powerful propjet! And may yet be one in the future!

his book is rehashing an old theory that has been championed by different folks over the years

http://www.britam.org/countries/england.html

this is just one of the websites about the british being part of the 'lost tribes'. There is also, wrapped up in the myths around glastonbury, the legend that joseph of arimathea was a tin merchant and brought his nephew with him to cornwall in SW england on a few of his trips. The hymn 'jerusalem' is about this particular theorem.

This guy has taken the myths and legends of ireland and england and he ran with it. Did this guy use a magic istone and hat like joey, or did he translate directly from imaginary plates and magic glasses as the mormons used to claim? Perhaps it was just the mushrooms he picked that season.

I can't believe that anybody actually believes this. When I first learned of it, I thought it was a joke.

Hold up!!!

Wow, this is the first time i'm seeing this and i live in the UK.

But, i know this guy, or at least i did. The UK is not so vast and it's membership so broad as to make it unlikely that a person such as i would have had past acquaintance with this man - albeit in much younger years.

Does anyone know the back story to this?

The last time i saw him he was discussing why German Generals of WW2 were so inspiring.

Studying The Desert Fox's early North African adventures completely transformed my sex life, so don't be selling your old buddy Matt short here!

elderolddog,

You're not a Brit though right?

I rang him up a few months ago just so I could say I'd spoken to a man who claimed to be 'the British Prophet of God' and tell any LDS members that they need to read and pray about the Book of jeranek.

Mostly, no. But I am a huge, HUGE, anglophile... or I have a huge anglophile somewhere about my person... I know it's one of them.

From memory: Lord Peter Death Bredon Wimsey, second son of the former Duke of Denver, and eventual husband of Harriet Vane, whom he saved from the gallows. That was a "cute meet"!

I know of Harry Vane, i believe he was a regicide.
