I'm a semi-regular visitor here, late 50s exmo and I just spent a few weeks in Utah taking care of some family business. I ended up spending a lot of time in stores and restaurants. I'm not good looking but I don't look like TBM Mormon male anymore. My job and hobbies sound a lot more interesting than they actually are but I'm not on the the TBM life path. I got approached by several women and had three let me know they are "available." These were LDS church lady types in Cache Valley. Sort of blew my mind. I wonder if the Church is losing complete control and they don't even know it yet.

I don't know clearly the 1950spropogandist imposition defining Mormon dream is um faulty because it doesn't actually describe the community.

I see the church's building blocks as families, dream-state nuclear families, the kind you see characterized on the rear windows of van and SUVs.

I'm in Cache Valley and I've seen what men are around. I'm 60. I have A NONMORMON boyfriend and he looks so not mormon. He actually notices that we get a lot of "looks." I don't notice. I'm antisocial so when we are out in public, I don't look around.
