Sometimes, I'd like to discuss this fact with the Elders, however, I don't.

I like Rush Limbaugh's term: Mush filled skulls. I guess that goes double for Tommy's sales force.

Get it right Babysuck... the Rush coinage was "skulls fulla mush."

And it's a perfect description of the Cult's new crop of puerile priests.

Their brains aren't developed enough to understand the fact that their brains aren't developed enough...:)

Of course, that's why the church moved the age down a year -- more time to get 'em indoctrinated before they start really thinking.

MTC's new motto: Teach the world while you still know everything.

Raised in the Mormon bubble
Makes the naiveté double
Should be making discoveries
Instead of making trouble.

These kids are out telling everyone else how to fly when they have yet to spread their own wings. They get them started with the ignorance/arrogance package while their egos are primed for it.

But they're old enough to get drafted to fight in wars.

The main reason (IMO) that the mission age dropped to 18 was so that high school graduates wouldn't have time to do college or see the world. Straight from high school seminary to mission indoctrination. No reality gap to lure them away from the bubble.

^^^^^^ This!

That freshman year at college, with all it's exposure to other
cultures, and critical thinking, can be a mission-killer.
They're trying to eliminate it. Cult-think at its most basic:
"how can we control their minds more effectively?"

The brain doesn't fully develop fully until about the age of 25. Funny, once I was almost 25 I began my rigorous questioning of Mormonism.

I felt like the church's effort to get you to do certain things--like a mission during this timeframe rested on this assumption of getting you fully committed during an emotionally volatile time of you life. Feelings are ruling more of one's decisions than careful reason.

Fully agree with the observation that at that age you are teaching the world while you still know everything.

Mormonism does not play fair, and as another poster aptly declared, they play dirty. Nowhere is this more evident than in this deplorable and assanine plan for under-developed brains of 18 year olds to save the world.

Mind control, indoctrination, undue influence or whatever you want to label the process is used by the Morg to get these trusting teens to do what only FULLY MATURE OLDER MEMBERS might do IF AND WHEN THEY CHOOSE TO. Yeah it makes sense, mature sense, for older members to become missionaries....older members who have had time to decide IF missionary work is something they feel strongly about and care to do but certainly not for teens.

Obey the rules we dish out is all the 15 can say over and over and over. Do it because it is what we declare as apostles of Jesus that Jesus has told us you must do.

Yeah, and exactly where is the proof of this? Where is the revealed vision recorded? Where? Where? Where?

No way to discuss this with missionaries.
Hopefully they figure things out.
