Yes...stop for today. :)

You can finish the old bottle, or you can throw the contents of the old bottle into the trash--your choice. (Please put the empty bottle into the recycling bin, because we need to save the planet--this is the only one we've got.)

I just Googled "Can Vitamin D deficiency cause nerve pain?" and the answer is: Yes.
Two excerpts:
1) "As a result, a deficiency of vitamin D impairs nociceptor function, worsens nerve damage, and lowers the pain threshold. ...a nonrandomized study of 51 diabetic subjects with painful diabetic neuropathy showed a 50% decrease in pain scores with vitamin D repletion."
2) "Not getting enough vitamin D can hurt your health in ways you may not expect. Symptoms of vitamin D deficiency include bone pain, muscle weakness, increased blood pressure, and depression."
This does NOT mean that you are to drink down a whole bottle of Vitamin D3 capsules immediately, or in the next week or so!!!
Even IF part of the pain you are experiencing is because of low Vitamin D levels in your body, you need to build up to normal/optimum levels in gentle gradations, and NOT overdoing it is really important.
Take supplementary Vitamin D3 at 5000 (or so) IU/day for a few weeks, and then reevaluate how you feel. If it seems to be helping, then continue on with the 5,000 IU/day supplement capsules for the rest of your life.
Also important: You need to be eating a good diet, with mostly good stuff (and decreasing amounts of bad stuff: regular soft drinks, empty carbs like sugar and high-fructose corn syrup, bad fats, and junk food in general).
You should be taking a good "multi" every day, one that your body digests easily and takes maximum advantage of. I, personally, recommend that you go to your local GNC store and ask for guidance. Although there are some serious-person quibbles about a few recent GNC products (most importantly: talc being used in the manufacturing process of some supplements, which used to happen ONLY to the mass market, relatively junk stuff, products), overall (and since you don't yet have more than a layperson's knowledge) the multis at GNC are better quality, and have better composition, than most of the multis available in more mass-market venues. Think of it as, comparatively, very low-cost "health insurance."
Now...Google: "Can Vitamin D deficiency cause nerve pain?" and read whatever seems of value to you. You will learn a great deal that will be of value to you for the rest of your life.
