Got some work done and figured out how to change the world. Not sure it passes for an apocalypse. Had dinner at a fancy restaurant with a very talkative five year old. Little people are not lesser people. Their world is just a little different.

And I'm still bummed that I missed December 21, 2012 too.

It is only 10:30. Still could happen.

Xactly brace for impact. What was supposed to happen again? Comet or planet hitting us or something?

There were apocalyptic movies on tv tonight. Twister from the 90's. San Andreas another. I couldn't watch either. Too much art imitating life these days. Ended up watching Napoleon Dynomite rerun instead.

So, in what time zone does the official apocalypse begin? Here in Mountain Time it’s about 25 minutes before September 24th.

Well it was a bit anticlimactic for me I'm afraid.

Stayed up watching Netflix until after midnight but alas..

Sleep was uneventful as well..

We're still here. Looks like we've been given a reprieve--or at least a stay.
Let's make the most of it...

Phew!! That was close!

It was great for me. The Apocalyse here involved gardening on a lovely early autumn day, pruning things mainly, followed by a meal of saucisse de Morteau and steamed leeks smothered on butter :-D

I wish it was the Apocalypse every day.

I spent some time watering the yard because I love being outside when the weather is sunny & warm......not hot.

Also checked in with family. There were 3 phone calls that confirmed all is well for the moment.

Glad it did not happen. I have been getting more proficient on a bass clarinet and wanted to be able to play at a concert in a few weeks. I did not want all those hours of practice having gone to waste.

So, Eric. I'm envious of you playing the C and all that. Really! Maybe there's still hope and time that I could learn to play something besides my iPod. Good on ya. Don't let the apocalypse get in the way of life.

Good for me too. I have a knack for finding just the right wine and hors d'oeuvres to go with Apocalypses when they happen and last night was no exception. Thick potato chips with creme fraiche, smoked salmon, capers, and a nice prosecco.

Instead of putting my eternal soul in order, I did some yard work and played golf, having forgotten entirely about the fact that the world would end on the 23rd.

Silly me.

That huge pile of laundry I ignored due to the End of Days now has to be washed.

I was not destroyed on saturday so I spent sunday beating up people in wheelchairs. Those handicapped people really love me.

We helped a family member move. Our apocalypse and epiphany occurred while moving a big a$$ heavy couch down 3 flights of winding stairs! :-D

and I worked extra. Nothing much happened here. We forgot about it until the 24th and then realized we were still here.

Any apocalypse I live through is a good one. So far they've all been good.
