It's a run off election between the top two Republicans from the recent primary: Moore and Luther Strange (aptly named).

The winner will face the Democrat (very, very long shot) in the fall. So, basically, it will determine the next AL Senator.

This guy scares the hEck out of me. You should see his political ads on TV here in Alabama that run nonstop. He hates SIN, and he is headed to Washington to make sure God's laws are enforced.

At the end of his TV ads, it proudly proclaims that he is endorsed by...(drum roll)...James Dobson (evangelical family kook), Sarah Palin (daffy kook), Chuck Norris (gun kook) and Phil Robertson (duck kook). Apparently this is the A-list of important people who impress Alabamians.

This guy is the frontrunner! How utterly embarrassing.

When he talks about how he is there to protect religious liberty, he means God's law and 10 commandments for all to follow. The rest of you sinners need to accept his version of Christian-sharia law.

Honestly, the best thing Alabama Christians have done for me after 7 years is to make me realize Mormons are not as bad by comparison.

Oh, and as an aside for your entertainment....

President Trump was coming to AL on Saturday to do a rally for the other guy running against Judge Moore (who is equally scary in different ways).

Well, they had to move the POTUS visit to Friday because they realized no one would attend the rally on Saturday: It's Alabama football game day Saturday. Football trumps Trump and Jesus.

I liked "We, The Living" but not "Atlas Shrugged." It was out of date for the 1950s and was more about Russia in the 1920s.

Roy Moore is the same doofus who has this history in Alabama:

From Wikipedia :"Moore was elected to the position of Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2001, but removed from his position in November 2003 by the Alabama Court of the Judiciary for refusing to remove a monument of the Ten Commandments commissioned by him from the Alabama Judicial Building, despite orders to do so by a federal court.

Moore was again elected Chief Justice in 2013, but was suspended in May 2016, for directing probate judges to continue to enforce the state's ban on same-sex marriage despite the fact that it had been overturned. Following an unsuccessful appeal, Moore resigned in April 2017, and announced that he would be running for the United States Senate seat which was vacated by Jeff Sessions, upon his confirmation as Attorney General of the United States."

And he's gonna be a US Senator. Of course, he's replacing Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions, so maybe there's not much difference.
