...what the Lehites might have called them because that's what they "thought it looked like"? Take a look at this and tell me the Lehites wouldn't have called a tapir the thing it most resembled in the Old World, not far from Jerusalem, and not a frikkin' horse!

Daniel would probably say up something like:

"First, You're an evil, despicable, anti-mormon idiot for bringing this up. Second, since boars are essentially pigs, and pigs were considered "unclean" to Jews, they wouldn't associate tapirs with an unclean animal. The next closest "clean" animal is, of course, a horse. So there you go. Not a problem."
