I wouldn't take LDS inc at their word on this. Their cryptic press release makes this guy out to be an adulterer or porn addict. They could be smearing his name by insinuation to cover for his loss of faith.

By reading this article it looks like he was part of two groups which could drive anyone away from LDS inc, Church History and Correlation.

I agree. I'm betting the guy grew a conscience and couldn't stomach the BS anymore. But, the church will allude to porn or adultery by winks and nods. A GA couldn't possibly challenge mormonism on facts.

Doubtful if there is a connection

Awhile back I happened to come across an article about there being some sort of financial scandal in one of the Morg's New Zealand areas. I just did a search, but couldn't find anything. Misallocation of funds would be a prime reason for excommunicating someone of his rank. If he were dishonest in another way they might just turn their heads.

On that one other popular exmo board someone claimed that someone in the COB pushed for the children-of-gays 2015 revelation but it was leaked before going through proper channels and that caused the sudden "revelation".

Or maybe during today's recent leak at mormonleaks.io the "mole" was found.

This sentence from the Deseret News story on this is humorously poorly worded:

"Church leaders have said they hold the faith's most senior leaders to the same standards of conduct as all other members, if not more so."

This is such CRAP! They will cover each other sins in the Q15. Remember, they've all had their 2nd Anointing and can do any sin and still get into the CK. The 2nd Anointing is their excuse for covering-up and hiding each other's sins.
