Funny how Mormons have a Bible but don't have to follow it.

Specifically, in Mormonism the laborers called to labor for Christ in the last days is all based upon seniority in direct contradiction to what The Bible says on the matter.

So, luckily Mormon leaders don't just have to have just a Bible to help them.

"# 5.

The Bible is the record of God’s dealings with the Israelites in the Middle Eastern countries. He is, however, the God of the Israelites everywhere, and of all nations. He also gives His word to them."

And if you just go with "continuing revelation" Mormon leaders don't even need their other Bibles. Like lawyers treating previous judgments as precedence for their guidance of their flock, Mormon leaders can interpret "The Scriptures" any way they want to to get what they want. All they need to do is invoke their judge in heaven and The Bible, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price become merely records of previous judgments which they can use or ignore depending on which ones further their agendas or cover their asses.

The Bible has a talking ass in it. We were warned long ago. Mormonism just boldly goes with explicit authority where others have used more subtle means to exercise their own divinity in executing their laws and lawyering unto themselves.

Tell that to Stan Lee.

The Marvel Universe beats your Bible any day of the week. Also, the characters have much more colorful magic underwear.

Somewhere in the Bom, someone came running saying just that. The thing is, no one would have known what he was talking about. There was no such thing as a bible. There is a word "bibla" or something like that, that simply ment book. So screaming bible, bible in bom "times would have meant nothing.
Just another notch that it was all made up.

Yes, the whole concept of an official "canon of scripture" had
not been created yet among the Jews. "Bible" is from the Greek
τὰ βιβλία meaning "the books."

The Jewish canon wasn't accepted as canon until long after the
time given for Lehi to have left Jerusalem, so the whole idea of
a "Bible" would have made no sense to Lehi or Nephi.

Well of course translated "secularly" it sounds crazy.

A book! A book! We have got a book, and there cannot be anymore books.
