Far from the lie the Church spouts that you will be more happy and joyful and fulfilled, it is usually quite the opposite for the vast majority of rank-and-file members. Indeed, the happiest people I have known in the Church seem to be those that do NOT take it as seriously as they are told. Just my epiphany for the day...

I took it very seriously. My life became a disaster. Once I left, my life has improved significantly.

As I've told many people, I believed it and I lived it. Oh, my therapist said that both he and I tested mormonism to its limits and it failed us.

This is because we are supposed to "endure to the end"

Mormons are taught that you are supposed to be miserable, that this is a hard road to travel.

When you base your salvation on works, how else can it be?

even IF they can not admit it to their fellow MORmON dog and phony show secret handshake social club members...... so they take it out on their kids for not making them more happy and fulfilled, because it certainly can not be THE church's fault that they are left so miserable and unfulfilled, because THE church said so !!!!! (even though it IS their THE church's fault)
