so you are saying that LDS Inc dead dunked JFK ?

Highly Ironic considering how much that many MORmONS like my MORmON family members absolutely despised him. They would not say that they were happy that he was dead .....but they were and they felt that JFK's demise was an outcome that was due to the will of the (lower head) Lord (MORmON) Jesus prevailing.

They've baptized Hitler.

JFK hardly fits in his category of mass murderer.

They'll baptize ANYONE who they can confirm is DEAD.

It's easier to skirt around consent issues this way.

Thanks for posting this, AmyJo. JFK was the first president and I still remember being the only kid in my 6th grade class here in Zion who "voted" for him in mock elections.

I think he could have made a great president, had things gone differently.

I see him in a somewhat different light than you. In my mind he WAS a great president, who died too soon.

Had he lived though, you are right, he might have achieved great things for America more than the vision he held for this country.

Besides Reagan, I can think of no other president who commanded the love and respect of the American people as much as he did in our times.

Really ?

....Many people think that George Washington was the first president.

Hmm, me thinks memikeyounot meant the first president he voted for, albeit in a mock election.

Ease up Smirkorama, we all know George was da Father of our Country. :)

Well as sad as it makes me to say it, the unresolved issue of this man's death makes us cringe while paying lip service to a fallen leader who's very initials exude greatness.

We shall forever welter under the shame we must all share for an unpunished crime.

My dad and him were born the same year. It's a poignant reminder of how time marches on with or without us.

And how much has changed since they were born.

"A memorial Mass will be held Monday morning for former President John F. Kennedy at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis, marking 100 years since JFK's birth. The Kennedy family attended Mass often at St. Francis.

Father Mark Hession will deliver the homily for JFK Monday. Hession also delivered the homily at the funeral for Senator Ted Kennedy."

It still hurts to think of all the family losses she has survived - especially her brother, piloting the plane into the sea off the coast of Hyannisport.

Imagine, having to grow up in the public spotlight over the years, although Jackie was quite the mother tigress, doing her best to give her kids the most "normal" upbringing that she could.

Those of us old enough to remember will never forget exactly where we were and what we were doing when we heard that the President had been assassinated. Very much like 9/11. A collective tearing of America's psyche.
