That’s a problem with the Mormon leaders, members think they are educated, informed with wise with a spiritual counsel from and enlightened perspective and the leaders claim these things.

So when the leaders speak members think they are getting good information, when in fact they are being taught racism, bigotry and the intolerance, irrational thinking and animosity toward those with differing beliefs not to mention a host of other ignorant beliefs, like chauvinism and polygamy ETC, topped with denial of the aforementioned and a good dose of rationalization for acting in a passively hostel way and wrapped in the mantel of religions authority and passed off as enlightened wisdom from God himself and the claim that they are only the humble messengers and obedient servants.

If they were truly what they claim to be they would be teaching tolerance, understanding, and non judgmental attitudes and love toward fellow humans.

The whole thing is so sick and slick. And members think God would really sanction this?

Precisely.

And even TBMs at some level realize this. When the Prophet dies, he is hardly ever talked about anymore. Contrast this with great figures in history such as Ghandi or Susan B. Anthony who live on and on and on because of the wisdom they displayed in life.

Now that's a guy who has influenced a hemisphere. Mormons are constantly being told how wonderful some talk was when in truth, almost everyone was asleep the whole time. They don't know what it's like to go to an exciting lecture or debate. All they know is a lot of droning and boring personal stories and a bunch of words mixed up in a soup and served cold.

This shows the sheer stupidity and arrogance of bearing 'testimony' of LDS leaders.

PROCLAMATION OF THE TWELVE APOSTLES OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS
CHRIST, OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS.New York April 6, 1845.

To all the King's of the World;
To the President of the United States of America;
To the Governors of the several States;
And to the Rulers and People of all Nations:

GREETING:

KNOW YE:—

THAT the kingdom of God has come: as has been predicted by ancient prophets, and prayed for in all ages; even that kingdom which shall fill the whole earth, and shall stand for ever.

The great Eloheem Jehovah has been pleased once more to speak from the heavens: and also to commune with man upon the earth, by means of open visions, and by the ministration of HOLY MESSENGERS.........................

We also bear testimony that the "Indians" (so called) of North and South America are a remnant of the tribes of Israel; as is now made manifest by the discovery and revelation of their ancient oracles and records.

And that they are about to be gathered, civilized, and made one nation in this glorious land.

They will also come to the knowledge of their forefathers, and of the fulness of the gospel; and they will embrace it, and become a righteous branch of the house of Israel.........

He has given us the Holy Priesthood and Apostleship, and the keys of the kingdom of God, to bring about the restoration of all things as promised by the holy prophets of old.—And we know it.

He has revealed the origin and the Records of the aboriginal tribes of America, and their future destiny.—And we know it.

when you consider that they are really just corporate executives.

When was the last time you heard something inspiring from the CEO of GE, Ford, or McDonald's?

Well, judging by the First Presidency Letter read during church today, they really don't want to hear from the rube membership.

Paraphrasing: "Dear Brothers and Sisters. Stop asking us questions, though we should be ready and willing to answer, being prophets of GOD HIMSELF and are letting you all revel in the facade that we communicate with 'Teh Man' himself regularly, then when asked we will then opine the question away with missives on "much too sacred to discuss..." as opposed to Peter, James and John et al. who were kicking spiritual ass and performing miracles and shouting from the rooftops that "HE IS RESURRECTED!!!111ELEVENTY!MOAR!". Sorry for the digression. Please stop writing us, the ones who are at the top of the pyramid living off your hard earned tithes, and belay your questions from us to your local lay person whom you knew growing up and who was as large a cad as you were and who really is about as intelligent as we are...oh wait..did I, the prophet of God, just write that out loud? But it's true..STOP ASKING US QUESTIONS! You'd think we had access to God's knowledge or something...Geesh."

That's about what I got out of it. So for all you praying types..obey authority...but if you need answers..well, you have prayer..Holy Pretend..or Google..I guess.

Good luck! ;)
