Missionaries, Bishops & Distractions

I was thinking about how the reason missionaries are not allowed to watch TV, go to movies or read non church literature is because they would be distractions. And yet men who already have full time jobs are called to serve as bishop. So what's the double standard here? If you're pastoring a congregation; how is a full time secular job not a distraction?

Bishops not only now have jobs but wives and multiple kids.
