Improved legislation and prosecutions are moving forward, state by state, jurisdiction by jurisdiction. As you know from LDS, some people's attachments to cultic practices are mysterious and profoundly deep.

People more interested in an activist approach to this issue can search out "C.H.I.L.D." (Children's Healthcare Is a Legal Duty), founded by Doug and Rita Swan, who lost a young child when they were loyal believers in Christian Science.
