With all the gloom and doom in the world these days, it was very uplifting to me to read about the relief convoys that are being organized all across the country to bring hay and other supplies to farmers whose lands and crops and herds were devastated by the wildfires in the Heartland earlier this spring. People are volunteering their time, their money, their vehicles and their love to help people they have never met and will never meet. Without any sort of directives being pushed over a pulpit, Just serving each other out of the goodness of their hearts. Quite a difference to me from the meaningless rituals in the Mormon temples.
