I have to go to a nerd-themed party and I need to get something, but I want it to be a dress I can wear any other time without drawing too much attention.

My final choice was between these two dresses. Which one is the most subtle, in your opinion?

Thanks!

The blue one is more subtle. You could throw a sweater over it and not see too much of the yellow and green design on the top. I like the length of that one, too.

It would be more difficult to disguise the first one.

Wear a spaghetti strap dress with a t-shirt underneath.

I like the second one, the blue. More subtle and just a nicer dress.

As a sometimes nerd, neither is fit to wear in my opinion.

IMO, the red-banded waist dress seemed the worst.

The worst part of wearing it later, is that some people will think you LIKED the dress enough to buy it.

Good luck.

Since you asked, I would vote for dress #2. They both look nerdy, but the other dress looks more like a Halloween costume.

What's the definition of "nerd" these days? Because to me a nerd would just throw on whatever, because appearances aren't important.

They're both ugly and loud, which fit the nerd category. Are you really thinking of wearing them out in public as regular dresses?
I like the first one better. It looks kind of sporty. The skirt looks like a baseball uniform. The top looks like a green playing field. The design could pass as a baseball field, if it had less " bases" on it
It also looks like a sad face. The balk on the left and the lines on the right could be creepy unmatching eyes. The thing in the middle, a nose, then underneath, the sad frown.
I like the blue colour better, but not the design.
t least the other one, you can pair it with sporty accessories, like hockey, baseball, or football earrings. Depending on how young you are, a belt with a team on it, jewelry, and shoes with a sports team or logo.
Which ever one you wear though at the party ( not in public) , wear 2 different coloured socks that match colours in the dress. Mis matched shoes. Weird makeup, weird ponytails with weird looking ribbons, etc
