For many stakes, Sunday, March 26, 2017, will be Fast Sunday for the month of April. As members of the Texas Dallas Mission Presidency, we would ask that you take this opportunity to fast for those individuals you would like to attend the “Church with our Friends” special Sacrament Meeting in your ward on April 30, 2017.


Why? because our Sacrament meetings can get sooooo out there? Maybe you have that member who embarrasses everyone at Fast Testimony meeting? Maybe because everything taught from the pulpit is a crock of shit?

YOU have to lie and sucker them in some how. SMDH

I have friends that are mormons.
The last place I'd want to spend time with them is at sacrament meeting.

Hey, here's a great idea: don't eat today, and the Holy Ghost will be so impressed that he'll put an ear worm into a bunch of people you couldn't get to church otherwise!

Windway, you grew up on the Dallas East Stake? When did you grow up there? My grandfather was the stake president there through most of the 70s-early 80s.

It's more likely they're doing this since General Conference is the first weekend in April....

I won't be going to FAT this Sunday because I won't be going to Outhouse Stakehouse to watch General Conference the following weekend. However, I do plan to miss the subsequent block on April 9 before staying home the next Sunday (April 16). That way I'll be all caught up.

The church keeps faithful members too busy for them to develop outside friendships. This is why member missionary work has always been a failure.

Bullwinkle Moose teaches us an important lesson about what Mormons keep doing vis-a-vis inviting your friends to sacrament meeting:


"Hey, Rocky! Watch me pull a rabbit outta mah hat!"

Bullwinkle never learns. Commercial break after commercial break, he continues to try to pull a rabbit out of his hat, using the same dumb trick and the same dumb hat. No doubt about it, he admits, he's gotta get a himself another hat. But at the next commercial break, there he is, same dumb hat.

If they'd just make EVERY SUNDAY "special" people could just be themselves [and stay home, or get out, and have fun with those they love, as opposed to those they HAVE TO spend time with (forced family, and other members)].

One word I can say for this:
"Nope"
They'll have to find me to invite me.
