The fact that day and night isn't at the same time on the whole earth very easily demonstrates a flat earth to be impossible. Saying the Earth is flat is much less ridiculous than saying the church is true. Nobody's life goes into turmoil when you change your mind and decide it's spherical.

But, see, that's the point -- from Wyoming, it's *not* flat. It might look that way if you don't bother to actually pay attention, but if you DO pay attention, you can see that it's NOT flat.

The "curve" works out to about 8 inches per mile. That's not much, but it's certainly observable, measurable, and verifiable. If you bother to pay attention.
