Joseph claimed (and he never lied) that Moroni (or was it Nephi?) came into his bedroom late at night when Joseph was 17 and stood next to Joseph's bed, wearing nothing but a long white robe and that Joseph could see that Moroni had nothing on but the robe because it was open so that Joseph could see into Moroni's "bosom". Joseph could only have seen that Moroni had nothing on but the robe if the robe was open beneath Moroni's waist. In other words, Joseph could see Moroni's privates. Let's see--a strange man with nothing on but an open robe sneaks into a teen age boy's bedroom late at night, stands over the boy's bed and spends the night? Was Moroni just trying to screw with Joseph (pun intended)? And, to make matters worse, Moroni had four more all night rendezvous with Joseph up on a deserted hillside. What was Moroni really teaching Joseph?

There was no Moroni. Well, actually there was. Moroni was the capitol city of the Comoros Islands, where Joe Sr lost a fortune in Ginseng which began the Smith family's life of poverty.

I have to admit Joseph really turned the tables on his supposed enemies.

In those days, in their poverty, didn't they sleep five to a bed or something?

Or, did Horney Joe have his own bed in his own bedroom? He may have out of necessity, and was probably locked in at night.

Moroni wasn't temple worthy without garments, so what the actual hell anyway?

Either that, or one of his brothers whacked him over the head and said "Were you gazing into my bosom again last night!?"

Moroni: Joseph, let me teach you about holding onto the rod...

Joseph: OK. Do I get gold if I'm a good boy during the lessons?

Moroni: Oh, um, sure, why not...

He was teaching him about the celestial boys club, the holy order of the penishood.

Why would a heavenly messenger decide to appear nekkid to Joseph???....I wondered as I heard this from seminary early in the morning when I should have been home in my own bed (not having heavenly messengers, thank u very much).

Did I hear my teacher right? Did he say bosom? Now, that did get my attention and was one of the few times to have happened!
