Her lung cancer is being treated with a new drug (1 pill, once a day) and she's also had 5 radiation treatments. So fortunate to live where we do as the cancer centre is 20 minutes away. She's breathing better and has had virtually no side effects from the medication and her medical team are pleased with her progress. A bit less doom and gloom than 6 weeks ago.
The troll with a personal beef with me who posted here under several screen names and who had earlier wished her a speedy demise will be disappointed.

OMG, Ron, I can't believe that someone would be that mean to you. But you are known and loved on this board, and you must know that there is a whole boatload of people who wish your wife (and you) well.

I'm glad that your wife is getting the very best treatment. That must be a great comfort to you. Even better for her, she has you.

Keep us in the loop, and don't forget to take good care of yourself as well.

So glad that the treatments are helping her and that she is feeling better. Make sure you, too, are taking care of yourself. Get rest, eat right, and take weekends "off" from talking about cancer if you can. IE an emotional break from the topic.

A bit tired from the radiation as was expected.

My polygamist sister is currently getting radiation. She was like a mother to me growing up. It sounds exhausting. All my well wishes to you and your wife.

She had five sessions and came through like a trooper.

Her medical team never talks about a cure but her palliative care specialist was more positive than he'd been a few weeks earlier. We are also hopeful the alternative therapies she is using will augment the chemo and radiation and show positive results at her next CT scan in April. Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, prayers and support. You are a special family.

Wow, I've just seen this. I hope for a very speedy recovery also I pray that the doctors will be guided to the best treatments for her specific kind of cancer. Send healing energy her way. As for that hateful, vicious person, I hope he'll get what he deserves.
