What caused the child to die?

There have been no fatal traffic accidents observed or known by me that were near me or near my house or in my house.

Please explain that, especially given that I am an atheist and have yet to be punished with fatal accidents near me or near my house or in my house.

It's just a question to see if someone will respond with a rational answer or a supernatural answer.

I've had several black dogs and black cats and none of them were possessed. :)

I also had a black lab as a kid and lived to tell about it.

The witches and warlocks must have been asleep at the wheel.

Oh, I have walked under ladders and never gotten hurt, but once fell off a ladder and did get hurt.

Told me not to talk to or pet black dogs that approached me at night. There's old world superstitions about dogs being part of the fay and causing mischief to whomever acknowledges them in the darkness. I grew up with a fair amount of strange superstitions, but oddly enough when I broke a mirror as a child, my late father made me yell out "I'm not superstitious!" while wearing the Jeezus Jammies.

Weird stuff from my childhood, suince you mentioned witches and warlocks:

I have a ladder incident, too- I was walking home from work one day, saw two ladders side by side stacked against a building. I thought, "Ha! I'm not superstitious!" and crossed under the first ladder only to have a pile of tiles, dirt and roofing material knocked me on the head as I strolled under the second one.

I love furry black death machines called cats. :)

Serendipitously, I suppose, when I came back from walking my boarders, BF was watching a ghost show about some evil black ghost dogs, but I didn't catch the name of the show. Here's one story I found:
http://themoonlitroad.com/the-black-dog/

I was referring more to the Irish and Scottish legends of the fay folk dogs, the cu sith and pucas (pookas) that like to mess with the mortals.

I love that kind of stuff.

A cat is always innocent, and there's no clawsality.

Was the cat driving? And if so, did it have a license?

Honey, let's let Toonces drive the car today.
He's just a cat. He can't drive.
I know, but he's getting better.

Later: Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!

A couple years ago I rescued a black kitten off the street.

He has paid me back by stealing the food off my plate at every opportunity, regularly hiding my sandals under the bed, opening the bathroom window on cold mornings so I freeze when I get out of the shower, rummaging through the kitchen garbage pail and dragging the contents all over the floor, shedding on every horizontal surface, and upchucking assorted hairballs and other slippery objects where I least expect them when I'm walking around barefoot (see prior note about sandals).

Did I mention his gas problem?

I love black cats. I'd love to find another one.

I used to listen to the Stray Cats while driving, and children of all ages were safe.
