Institution, Sminstitution.

Is the Constitution hanging by a thread? You know the Mormon Church manual drill: The Latter Days call for Priesthood Ways.

Is it finally time for the "Elders of Israel" to step forward, be counted and fill the void of national security advisor for the president?

After all, they voted for him.

I was so entertained by Glen Beck's religious endorphin-induced tyrades against Trump during the election process. He knew that god backed his candidate and that any good mormon would surely vote for Ted Cruz (which the people of Utah did in the primaries). Beck thought that he could single-handedly lead the population of Utah to fulfill the whitehorse prophacy and thus save the country from the ruin that would surely result if Trump won. He even topped it off with personal insults against Trump, by rolling his face in orange cheetos cheese powder with the cameras rolling. He featured a mis-guided and brainwashed youth on the cameras, as an example of the faith that would fulfill his naive and misguided religion-induced fantasies. Beck followed his candidate around the country during the campaign, all the while making bad business decisions that nearly drove him bankrupt.

Trump was only the people of Utah's second choice for president. If Utah had its way, Ted Cruz would be the president now. Utah lacks political leadership and a good sense of wise political direction. At least they made the right choice when presented with only two candidates, one of which should be thrown in to prison. If it were up to the wisdon of the mormon population of Utah to save the country, or worse yet, if it were up to the mormon priesthood to save the country, I am pretty sure we would all be as let-down as Beck was, nearly bankrupt and struggling just to get back to status quoe.

Just this morning, it came out that Barak Obama is behind many of the disruptive protests that we're seeing on TV. He started his own 501c3 to institutionalize these disruptions. The whitehouse isn't perfect and Essays aren't needed to Explain each foible when a wrong person is picked. What we need are Essays to explain Obama's ongoing post-presidential Saul Alinsky tactics.

Oh, goody, more "alternative facts."
Interesting how republicans exercising their constitutional rights of free speech are "patriots," but non-republicans doing the same thing are "institutionalizing disruptions."

Just this morning it came out that Obama was the one who fired
from the grassy knoll in Dealy Plaza.

Hell of a shot by someone who was 27 months old when JFK was killed.

After all, it was in the National Enquirer. Case closed.

Um, no, we don't have to take Trump or the National Enquirer seriously,

Now, for the rest of the story:

--"Was Ted Cruz’s Father Linked to the JFK Assassination?
Disreputable web site posits a link between Ted Cruz's father and Lee Harvey Oswald based on negligible evidence."

To respond to Kolobs comment about Patriots; we probably would define a patriot or patriotism differently. For me, upholding the ideals layed out by the Founders and fraimed in the Constitution are bedrock solid. They are disigned to guarantee and preserve freedom to the common and stand as an obsticle to tyranny.

We have drifted from that foundation since its creation largely due to the efforts of subversive money influences who have contempt for the vision of the Founders and would see it condemned to the dust bin of history.

Beck has some things right politically but trying to mix politics and religion doesn't work well. Although there are similarities, both subjects are complex and religious people are delusional which detracts from a practical conversation, in my view.

And yet it is the White House that is violating the constitutional

1) establishment clause,

2) co-equality of the judiciary,

3) prohibition against emoluments,

4) prohibition against bills of attainder,

5) the post-civil war prohibition against ethnic discrimination,

6) multiple guarantees of due process, and

6) habeas corpus.

It is likewise the White House that has threatened to criminalize press reports it does not like in contravention of the First Amendment. It is also possible that the campaign violated the Logan Act.

You are right that the constitution has evolved dramatically, sometimes for the better and sometimes the worse, since the foundation of the country. Putting aside the point that the founders intended for some degree of evolution, it seems clear that there has never been a presidency that has launched such a comprehensive attack on the constitution as the one we have today. Even Andrew Jackson stopped short of this irresponsibility.
