I listen to Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, the long running radio show from NPR, and it's always entertaining for me. I usually do it on podcast now, so I can choose when I want to listen. I also got to see a live program a few years ago at UNLV in Las Vegas.

This last week's show had a guest host, which seldom happens, by the name of Tom Hanks. He's been on the show a few times in the past and always done well in the quiz game. He was great as a sub for the host, Peter Sagal.

Since it's NPR, no one will be surprised about the political bent that the show takes and I won't go there.

They have panelists that are different each week and then a celebrity guest. This week was Simone Biles, from the Olympics. She was very fun but kind of overwhelmed by the questions they asked her.

If you haven't heard this show, try it sometime.

Last week (with Hanks as the guest host) they did poke a little fun at the MoTab and participation in Trumps Inauguration. Hanks suggested the MoTab is actually respected, as far as large religious choirs go. Interesting.

I heard that, too. Made me giggle :)

And that, of course, was the point I meant to mention, their discussion of the motab.

It's hell getting old.

Tom Hanks was hilarious as the guest host. It really is a fun show to listen to and I usually do on Saturday mornings while puttering around the house.

Follow up to the post I made about Wait, Wait, Don't tell me!

They are bringing the show live to Salt Lake City on May 11, and I splurged and got a ticket. It was first announced last Thursday and by Sunday, lots of tickets were gone.

A few years ago, they did a version of it which played in the movie theaters, I think it was a Fathom Events. It was fun to watch and as a special guest, they had Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings.

I'm looking forward to this at Abravanel Hall. And best yet, I can get free parking since it's just a couple of blocks from my job!

How fun. Return and report!

I'll bet they are a hoot. It would be great to see their expressions and interaction.

I'm jealous.

That's one of my favorite NPR shows.
