Good Morning everyone!!! Today, I am spending the day waiting for my sister in law to text me on whether or not mom made it through surgery okay. I would of gone up there myself but with the way my back, and leg is, there was no way I could of walked out of there without being rolled out in a wheel chair and in tears because of the pain. While I am waiting, I am going to try and do some homework and just have some time to myself.

*** I just got word from my sister in law that mom made it through surgery just fine. For those who haven't see my other thread can find it here to see the details about what is going on.

Hope it all goes well!

I'm in Nashville in a Seattle quality drizzle.

Having a day off, just me and the remote.

I am working on my newest project and being thankful I no longer have to wake up each Sunday morning and dress up in a suit.

I'm going with my adult daughter, age 34, the only one of 3 kids who have ever been active in the church, to see the Fathom Event showing of "Singin' in The Rain", from 1952.

I came home one day when she was about 12 and she and her friend Sadie had just finished watching it, recommended by Sadie's grandma, on a VHS tape.

Turns out, it was the 4th time they'd watched it that day and since then, she's made a point of watching it at least a couple of times a year. She and Sadie had it memorized shortly after (that and Grease). She will likely want to sing in the theater today :)

I don't remember if I'd seen it on a big screen but I finally got to see it when I was in Las Vegas about 2012, I think, also at one of the Fathom Showings. That included a special short program of an interview with Debbie Reynolds, by Robert Osborne, the TCM guy.

My daughter was separated 4 years ago and went back to live with her mom and 2 kids. She married in September to a guy with 5 kids, (they don't all live with them) but he's an RM but I don't think he's been active for a while.

So it's nice that she will go with me to a Sunday movie, her kids are with their dad and her new hubby has a football party with friends at home. She, like me, doesn't do football!

Slept in, went grocery shopping, and now a leisurely day just watching movies, etc. Used to be the most dreaded day of the week! Lolol

Slept in and now I'm going to take a drive to Newport Beach in So Cal. I love to walk the nearly deserted beach and to sit quietly listening to the waves

Best wishes to your mother. It's been a real roller-coaster for her health lately, if I remember your previous posts correctly.

I slept in since it's the last day before spring semester starts, so now I'm making preparations for that. Dyed my hair 3 shades lighter than intended earlier, but pleased with the results anyway. Made some granola, trail mix, and about to start on beans and making some chili.

I like to cook on Sunday, too, when I'm home.

On the weekend, I make food for lunches for the week, like beans, salads, salmon and chicken fillets. Sometimes I freeze things.

I made savory sauce, spaghetti sauce, and tartar sauce, for the next couple of weeks. I like quick meals, during my rushed week.

Mindless tasks are relaxing, and I retain the right to be boring and ugly (in jeans and a plaid shirt) on Sundays. The kids are coming over later, and I will dress up for them--no skirts, though.

I slept in.

I had a shower and took my husband and a neighbour for a breakfast in a very nice café.
With croissants, salmon, champagne (for the others, I don't like alcohol), the works.

Then a long walk around town and back home to put on some laundry and stuff.

Then we spent over three hours at a Persian restaurant.
We had a big lunch followed by afternoon tea with lots of Persian desserts in miniature versions.
We also looked through the restaurants books on Iran, because we plan to go there for a vacation in Spring.

Then back home to watch a documentary I recorded from tv (and more laundry).

Then to the swimming pool.
I need some exercise or I cannot sleep well.

Then my neighbour treated me to a meal in her house.

And now I'll be going to bed.
Goodnight.
