According to my research it is accredited to the day in 1307 when french and papal troops swooped down on the knights templar arrested and tortured and them executed them. Therefore it is a bad luck day.
Thank you. Looks like we're dealing with a lung cancer diagnosis. Not the news we were hoping for but something we suspected. So now we're in fight mode. We have an excellent internist/pulmonary specialist who has taken over her care. He has a wonderful bedside manner and answered all her questions but pulled no punches on the seriousness of what she is facing. Onward and upward. If you pray, prayers would be greatly appreciated and good thoughts coming her way are all good too. I love this community that has welcomed me over the past 5+ years. Y'all are good people.
I'm glad to hear that you have a fine specialist who has taken over Merna's care. And that you are both in fight mode! I truly believe that determination can have a big effect on how the body deals with sickness.
When you feel ready (if you haven't, yet) to update the general list in a separate topic, I am sure that everyone will add their prayers, hopes, hugs, and good vibes to mine.
More specialized testing happening in Calgary and here next Wednesday and Thursday. Will have a more complete picture when radiology/oncology and pathology get finished their research by month's end.
Oh Ron, so sorry to hear that you received lousy news.I'm sending good thoughts and healing energy, love and light to both of you. Please keep us updated. Just a FYI....my mother is a lung CA survivor and is going strong at age 87. Her diagnosis was in 2004. She did have the left lower lobe of her lung removed, but you would never know today that she went through this. They have made great strides in the successful treatment of lung CA in recent years. Stay strong. I know she has a great support system....in you!
Love to you both...
