"In our opinion, unneccessary leaks of proprietary info, to Mormonleaks, like Wikileaks, has unintended consequences and pose a threat to democracy." Editorial staff of the PRopoganda arm of the CULT of Joseph's Myth of Doomsday Sayers

According to Deseret News, it will cause people to quit speaking to each other.

Lol, as if the CULT doesnt cause people to quit speaking to their family and friends once they become "sons of perdition"? (Aka, what is known in other religions as, "quit going to their peculiar church")

Because, of course, some things that are true aren't very useful.

Or so they tell us.

"...unintended consequences..."

Aww. Poor babies.

A threat to our democracy? This is too funny!

hahahahaha they make me laugh. "whistle-blowers and anonymous sources serve a noble purpose in exposing crime, corruption and generating important dialogue. However, by publishing private information with no real purpose other than “it hasn't previously been disclosed,” leakers may in the end stifle an important element of American democracy — the safe exchange of confidential ideas and information."

I think they had it right in the first sentence. "Noble purpose in exposing crime, CORRUPTION and generating important dialogue" AMEN TO THAT. LDS INC needs to be discussed and exposed for their crimes, mass corruption.

'We are not a Democracy. We are a Republic." Then vote for only one parties candidate (regardless of how despicable).

HH =)

"With regard to the most recent documents, scholars and observers seem to agree that the disclosures merely reaffirm the church’s reputation for frugality with its funds."

"Leaks typically aim to embarrass or expose targeted institutions. Yet, to date, the so-called Mormon leaks have largely had the opposite effect."

Oh sure!

Fuck that article, and fuck the propaganda found in it. Does that half-wit of an author understand what "real" democracy is built upon?

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be. An informed citizenry is at the heart of a dynamic democracy.” -Thomas Jefferson

The church is trying to persuade us that a democracy is built upon secret keeping. News flash, we don't live in a democracy. In action it functions just like an oligarchy. Ironically, that is what the church resembles, an oligarch ruled by the "elite" propped up by secrecy and insider deals upon the backs of the ignorant. Just another form of feudalism, given a different name. Informed people don't put up with bullshit, they think for themselves. Nor do they take anything as truth unless it logically makes sense even if the truth hurts.
