My sister and her family were at the Pearl Harbour memorial on a recent trip to Hawaii. She sent me an incredible photo of the memorial with a rainbow behind it that she said just happened to show up when she was taking the picture. Lovely.

My mom is just watching John Wayne in the old movie "They Were Expendable". I can hear it from my office.

I can't really stand war movies myself.

But I know we should Remember Them.

And I do.

Where's "Unbroken"?

Movie not as good as the book, but they did a good job with the adaptation.

"Kelly's Heroes," and "The Great Escape" are two of my favorites.

I love Battleground, Twelve o clock high as well and From here to eternity.
I also love the Tora Tora reinactments at military air shows

I watched the Sands of Iwo Jima yesterday to pay my respects to the greatest generation.

I see why it didn't make the list of the 29 best. But it was still good to reflect on the sacrifices made in that generation.
