The Mormon-casino connection

Steve Wynn, the casino builder, was helped by a "Mormon banker", Parry Thomas. Howard Hughes was helped by Mormons who did not drink. Mormons can work in casinos. I wonder how many Mormons have invested in casinos, directly or indirectly.

I have been in the Las Vegas gaming industry for three years now. The number of Mormons there would amaze you.

I doubt people drive across Nevada to visit the casinos in West Wendover.

(Just love the iconic flourescent sculpture of "Wendover Will." He should have been installed on the Eastern border of the town, not that there is a suitable location.)
