I made an amazing discovery!

I picked up some beer and by the time I got home, it had gotten up to room temperature. So, I plopped one in the freezer. I forgot about and and then remembered it. When I poured the beer into a chilled glass, It was liquid, but the beer foam froze about 1/2 above the glass. Wow! Frozen beer foam is delicious!

I suppose one could use beer as anti-freeze.

Sounds like the waste of good beer! I read where beer is a natural way to kill snails and slugs. Hey, why share my special treat with the varmints!

My Mormon friend's dad was a gardener and a ward leader of some sort. His dad used to buy beer to use against the slugs and snails in his garden. I was shocked to see beer in the refrigerator when I went over to my friend's house. My friend said his father was terrified that he would some day be "discovered" by another member of the ward while grocery shopping.

That depends on the beer. I've got some really good beer and I've tasted some very poor beer. The latter could well be used as anti-freeze, especially if the weather is really cold and you have no alternative.

Um, it's good because the part that isn't frozen is the alcohol.

Science trivia question: why did it freeze only after you opened
the can and poured it?

Putting beer in the freezer is a good way to cool it down quickly. You just have to remember to take it out within a half hour or so, before it freezes.

Putting the glass in the freezer that you will drink the beer from is nice as well.
