Brigham Young is still dead.

BY hated the teensy little steeple on the original Saint George temple. Shortly after he died a thunder and lightning storm hit st. George, and a lightning bolt felled the teensy little steeple.

He didn't get his wish in life. But after he died the heavens let loose, and tore that teensy little steeple asunder.

And since it was restored to its current glory, "Not a few of the people remembered Brigham's objection to the earlier design of the temple, and commented that even though Brigham didn't get his way during his life, he managed to have the change occur from beyond the grave!"

It is too bad he did not live a year longer and suffer from the publication of the confession of John D. Lee. Brigham Young would have suffered mightily from the public indignation, even worse than a noted comic today.

David Miller, a well liked U of U professor of history, once remarked that "Brigham Young was a dictator, more or less, and the Mormon people accepted it, more or less!"

Pretty much sums it all up.

Have you ever noticed how the church has named all the universities after Brigham Young in order to demonstrate what Heavenly Father really thinks about families/marriage, racial harmony, and everything else? The world would be such a better place if everyone knew very well exactly what Brigham Young taught so they could ponder/pray about what to do with this knowledge in these latter days.

As a "hormoaning" teenager of the 1950's, I well remember Bunny's pin-ups and her photos of other nude models as well.
