On another thread I was happy to see that The Moose was back. Things are well, Bruce. How have things been now that the ruckus from the "Court of Love" has quieted down? Very best wishes!!

I have found that at least one of my children reads the boards and she has read my posts. *shrugs* Since changing my screen name from moose (a childhood nickname) to my own name I'm not surprised. After all, I'm not hiding.

For me, personally, things have settled into a routine. My wife remains TBM as do my in-laws, who we see several times a week and who I respect and love as my own family. I'm doing well in my studies (hobby: church history) and have augmented my library (thanks Amazon).

All in all I'm at peace (I'm recovered, don't you think?). I still make FB posts from time to time to see if my LDS family and friends might stop and think. No obvious luck so far. Anyway, I just know I can never go back. The man behind the curtain has been seen.

Speaking of the man, my SP and my Bishop have totally failed to stay in touch since my DC. My Bishop even assigned himself our HT and hasn't called or set foot in our house. I feel the love, don't you?

Thanks, man, for the call out! I'm an open book so anyone can ask me anything anytime.

My best to you, your bonerness!

I'm glad that the healing and recovery process has happened. You've done a remarkable thing by keeping your family.

I haven't seen the bishop or stake president in over a year. Come to think of it, we haven't had home teachers in a while. I'm very welcoming, but I think there have been things said about me in the 'hood, and my ward IS in one of those VERY pious Morg neighborhood.

Very best wishes, Moose!!

Bish is your HT? He is taking that post so the other members don't catch wind of your doubts..or he has been assigned and is scared sh×÷!ess of your perception and doesn't want further contact. Yes, SP..Moose is just fine..

Long story, short: my Bishop is a friend. His aunt was one of my instructors in the LTM many years ago. He assigned himself as our HT. Why he hasn't visited is truly anyones guess.

I have a friend that insisted on being my VT for years. She never attempted actual visits but we laughed all the time that any casual encounter should count as her reported VT for the month. Neither one of us took it seriously, we mostly saw it as a waste of time. Anyway Bruce, I appreciate your willingness and courage to share your story on a few outlets. Just had to make fun of assigned friendships..but in your case the friendship was first.

LTM early 1974. Spanish. I was called to the Australia East Mission, Spanish speaking.

There is a book waiting to be written (or at least a novella) about elders hunting for Spanish-speakers in East Australia!!

You want a reader/soft-core editor, I'm here for you!

The Moose is the Man.

And yes, that makes sense. :)

Internet hugs and shout-outs to the Moose. He's an example of intelligence, courage, and healing.

Hey Bruce,

Is that you on GEDmatch? If so, it looks like we're related.

I did a search and the name Bruce A Holt popped up. I said to myself, "That sounds familiar..."

Quite probable! I'm interested in how we might be related. Drop me a line, if you wish.

Hope you're not too disappointed if you were expecting Bruce the Donkey.

Bruce the Moose is a most noble animal who is no man's beast of burden.

Cheers to you Big Guy.
