So a family member shared this about a recent FHE. Love how mormons have different types of truth and levels of truth (Holland's CES talk a couple of years ago) and that non-mormon beliefs on heaven and eternal families are "relative truths" and deceptions of Satan. Interesting how there is no mention of the 3 degrees of glory...it's only "eternal life" (of course only through the morg) or "eternal damnation" (any belief other than mormonism).
Also like the Freudian slip? "he has given us our fee will..." Yep, if you want to go to mormon heaven and have an eternal family, you must pay your fees (tithes and offerings) to the mormon church and no other:
"...a wonderful FHE lesson on living the gospel. There is a big difference between relative truth and eternal truth. Relative truth is Satan’s lie that we can still gain eternal life with Heavenly Father even though we are not fully living the gospel. Not going to church, not living the word of wisdom, not paying our tithing, not keeping our temple covenants will NOT qualify us for the celestial kingdom with our families and loved ones. We were warned by prophets of old that even the very elect would be deceived in the last days. I feel that this is one big way that many are being deceived. They feel that they are right with God and that God loves them anyway. The second part is true. There is nothing we can do or say that could lead to us losing God’s love. However, he has given us our fee will to choose eternal life, or eternal damnation. If we choose to not keep our baptism and temple covenants no matter how much God loves us, or how we may personally feel about it, because of the choices we have made we cannot inherit the kingdom of God. I hope and pray every day that no one in my great big family will be deceived by Satan’s great lie. That no matter how hard it may seem, or who has offended us, or what trials are brought our way, that it is only through keeping our covenants and relying on the atonement of Christ that will get us back to our Heavenly Father to live eternally with our families!"
