Hi,

I haven't been on board for quite a long time and have forgotten my past board name.

A few years ago I recall contributing to a polygamy thread that showed the timeline of the polygamy revelations, the actual timeline of the marriages, and the fact that EMma didn't seem to be aware of the revelation, along with the redacted timeline in regard to Fanny Algers affair.

Does anybody know where I might find all the polygamy information in one website or page? Especially the above mentioned information?
I've lost my copy and would hate to have to research that mess again. I have a recent need for it.

I've searched but can only find pieces of info on various pages, rather than a compilation of all the info on one site.

Thanks for your help.

I have most of the information you are looking for on my site. Probably not in the format you are referring to, but it's all there:

Sorry the delay in checking back.
Thanks RT for your time and assistance in this.
It's greatly appreciated.
I'm heading over to read it now.

I forgot to mention that I like the way you've compiled the information using large headers with a brief summary and a click to get more info.
It makes hunting for info easier.

Thanks again.

One quick question; your article on early utah states that young marriages were common at that time. http://www.mormonism101.com/2013/12/polygamy-families-early-utah.html

That may be the case, but in mormonism I believe the distinction should be made between ages of women and men. How common was it for young teen girls to marry older women outside of mormonism compared to inside of mormonism?
If my friend reads that she'll likely fill in the gaps and assume that it was common for teens without factoring in the ages of polygamous men marrying the teens.

Thanks.

Another question, I looked for debate info on the d&c revelation compared to dates of actual implementation, along with Emma's knowledge of it happening.
I couldn't find it on your site.
I might be blind though. :)
Do you have that info on your site?

Don't want to hijack the thread, but is there one-stop place that gives a rundown on what JS was after with each of his wives? I'm sure some were strictly for nooky, and I know he "adopted" twins and then got a hold of their estate, but wondering what other control he & goodies got from the other wives.

You're not hijacking at all!!

That's another piece of helpful info.

I just wish I could find that rfm thread that detailed a ton of info.

I just found a few articles by Grant Palmer, which covers a few of the points I was looking for.

The following article mentions Law's dislike for the unwanted marriage proposal of his wife.

This article talks about concubines:

This may have the most original sourced material.
