Grandbaby No. 7 has arrived!!

Yesterday my 7th (and final) grandchild was born! Long awaited (9 months + 7 very long, agonizing days), and very welcome!

He's 8 lbs, perfect, perfectly healthy, and looks a lot like his older brother & sister. Not too much like moi, thankfully.

They say they're going to decide on a name today, and they just MIGHT give him my name as a middle name. That would be great a great honor, but ------- PapaKen -------- ??

SEVEN! That's quite enough!

Nothing quite like becoming a grand parent! Seven times! That's wonderful. Enjoy! It's a privilege that many don't get to have.
I have 10. One great grand baby. That's another privilege -- didn't know I would live that long.

Our second grandchild is getting married in August. But the little ones are often the most fun. BTW we have had 31 more grandchildren since the one getting married. PapaKen, you need two more for a baseball team.

Thanks, everyone!!

Now they're gearing up for life with 3 kids under 6 - that sounds daunting, except for the fact that 2 are already in pre-school ( the teacher actually comes to the house & picks them up in her van! - can you believe that?!). Plus all 4 grand parents live fairly close.

Life is good.

My advice: if you must have kids, START with grandkids!

(Oh, and they DID give him my name! I'm so honored!)
