"Arguing with God" is one of the fundamental elements of Jewish culture---it's something that Jews do, almost reflexively...and many, from childhood.

(Tevye, in "Fiddler on the Roof" argues with God---it is a central part of his character...and there is a tradition that some Jews during the Holocaust---and on occasion IN the concentration camps---brought a Jewish "court" (bet din) action against God for allowing the predations of the Nazis against the Jews to happen in the first place, and to continue. Many of the Jews in the camps were rabbis, so forming a Bet Din---a Jewish court composed of three rabbis---within any of the camps would have been very easy to accomplish.)

I don't believe Tevye would've gone so far as to file a restraining order against God.

This is so funny it's absurd. People do the darndest things.
