Today I attended an ordinance of a family member. You all know the type where they perform the ordinance and then carry on "as prompted by spirit".

How many others here have been called out during a prayer saying that a deceased relative is watching and aware of things going on. And the deceased is not pleased! Trying to play the guilt trip card from beyond the grave. (Because of inactivity and non-belief. Not any law breaking violations going on) This is not a recent death either.

Passive aggressive much? So tired of the arrogance and stupidity of church members. Just trying to be supportive of family by attending and then get treated like this. Was reminded why I haven't attended the last 10+ years.

Mormons tend to be so insulated inside their own little bubble they fail to understand how insensitive or brutish their remarks sound to non-believers. To the point of being outright offensive. And they just don't get it.

I compare it to a cigarette smoker who is impervious to the foul noxious odors caused by second hand smoke. They're so used to it they don't even notice how foul it is or the stench on their clothes, skin, or surroundings - let alone the air they breathe.

Same with crass, rude, and vulgar people. Religious zealots do not have the upper hand in temperance.

When a person claims to have received a message from the dead, the lie has already been told. Everything that follows is dressing on a fib salad.
