Using a fairly low threshold for "active," there are roughly 5 million active LDS people in the world. On any given Sunday, the actual number of people attending is probably between 3 and 4 million. It's probably safe to say that within the US, there were no more than 3 million Mormons at church last Sunday.
Meanwhile, 112 million Americans watched a football game.
