The Lord's University's football team is highlighted in another not-so-lordly on-the-field moment:

I know this stuff happens all the time with a lot of teams. But the smugness of BYU fans is all the more revolting when it has become apparent they are about like any other team.

No... It doesn't happen all the time. There are dirty players and dirty groups of players, but that is the minority.

Can you describe the ruckus?

I used the term to describe the negative attention BYU received when a video was posted showing a BYU player again doing something inconsistent with good sportsmanship.

When playing against a team of priesthood holders it is your duty to submit to whatever they seek to inflict upon you.

And when they ask if you liked it, bow your head and say "yes."

The Laying-On-Of-Hands(TM) is considered a sacred rite of the Priesthood.

Not the first, or the worst, BYU cheap shot this year. Check out the video below:

If you don't like to click on links, just go to youtube and search for "BYU OL Throws Below-the-Belt Punch on Boise State Player"

Awww, nuts. I checked that link right before I posted it. Anyway, below is a link to another video of the incident.

From the Boise player's reaction, it looks like it hurt.

That punch could really be described as "heavy petting", I understand that the player wasn't suspended, buy he at least should have had to talk to his bishop.

There's no excuse for the 'punching in the balls' video posted by Elijah Unabel. Regarding the video posted by left4good, if I was inclined to give the BYU player the benefit of the doubt, I'd say he might have been trying to punch the ball loose to create a fumble.

Yah, I looked very closely at it several times. It appeared to me that he was decidedly punching in the side and did not come near the ball. But you may be right...
